Holy Wednesday Reflection: The Woman Who Gave Everything

Today, our Serbian Orthodox tradition commemorates the sinful woman who anointed Christ with precious myrrh, giving everything she had in an act of loving repentance.

As we face challenges in our parish life, we too are called to give our best efforts to preserve our Serbian Orthodox identity and proper church governance. Like this woman, our devotion to the traditions of our ancestors should be complete and without reservation.

Her tears washed the Lord's feet; may our prayers wash away divisions in our community. Her expensive myrrh honored Christ; may our presence in church honor Him today.
