Holy Thursday Reflection: The Gifts of Communion and Servanthood
On Holy Thursday, we commemorate the Last Supper when Christ instituted the Holy Eucharist and washed His disciples' feet.
In Serbian Orthodox tradition, these two acts—communion and servanthood—define our life as faithful Orthodox Christians. Even in difficult times, we remain united through our shared communion at the Divine Liturgy. Even when facing challenges, we follow the example of Saint Sava in serving one another with humility.
As we struggle to preserve proper governance in our parish, let us remember that all authority in the Serbian Orthodox Church should follow Christ's example of servant leadership, as shown by our holy fathers through the centuries.
Join us at 9:00 AM for Divine Liturgy and at 7:00 PM for the reading of the Twelve Gospels, as we keep watch with Christ in His final hours.
